Glowing in the summer sun!
EWS Class 66 no. 66053 heads into the evening sun at 19.07, hauling the 6X50 08.25 Sellafield to Keyham military nuclear flasks. Given the sensitive nature and secrecy of this train, carrying nuclear fuel rods for Royal Navy submarines, there was a quite gallery standing on the bridge awaiting this train this evening! The train is made up of two bogie flask carriers and the EWS inspection saloon DM45029, needed, no doubt, for the security personnel accompanying the train.
