(1) A really interesting trains that warrants a couple of photos. At 20.03 the 4Z48 12.10 Mossend Euroterminal to Daventry DRS (Tesco) approaches from the north having been diverted away from the WCML due to engineering work, at Carstairs I believe. Running under the wires all the way, and with a DRS electro-diesel Class 88 in the lead, no. 88010 "Aurora", you might think that it was running in electric mode. But no, it was running using its lower-powered diesel prime mover and was double heading with Class 68 no. 68002 "Intrepid". No. 88010 also wears a recently-applied "Refrigerated Rail - a cool move" special livery. A dash to the other end of the station was now made as the train was checked by signals - time for a closer look!
