"Twilight of Grids" departure time! The long shadows on the platform in the foreground give evidence to the gallery behind and beside me! Having had a round trip over the Pennines top and tailed by "Grids" nos. 56078 "Doncaster Enterprise" and 56115 "Barry Needham", here the two are placed at the front of the train for the run for home. But things changed at the last minute after an issue with the multiple working equipment on 56078 so the locos swapped around and in the end 56115 lead the way, with 560787 tucked in behind. It was a fantastic run back down the ECML - never to be forgotten. See my blog for the details -
