There aren't a lot of freight trains that pass through the station, many bypassing via the avoiding lines. However, luck was in at 17.27 when GBRf Class 66 no. 66716 "The Locomotive & Carriage Institution" rolled through platform 5 with the 4E04 11.06 Mossend PD Stirling to Doncaster iPort intermodal.
