A Class 86/1 that is still in service on the UK network (2021), albeit not regularly: no. 86101 "Sir William Stanier F. R. S." heads the 18.00 Manchester Piccadilly to Birmingham International service past the Trent & Mersey Canal, as viewed from a narrow boat!
