This is Northern Rail Class 144 no. 144021, having run back out of the station at 11.45 as empty stock, over the viaduct in order to use the crossover at the west end, and so switch over to the westbound line. Looking up from the banks of the River Nidd you can appreciate the Victorian architecture of this graceful structures, especially in this lovely Spring sunshine.
