An oil train bound for Immingham passes through Central station on the through road. Class 31s nos. 31210 and 31304 head the train. It's not necessarily one of my best images but 31304 was a Western Region engine based out of Bristol Bath Road for a while and was fairly familiar to me as a young trainspotter at Exeter St. David's station in the late '70s and early '80s. I thought it warranted a last minute photo. It was scrap metal by 1999. 31210 escaped the gas axe and is now preserved at the Dean Forest Railway.
