I realise now that this was my first photo at Inverness, taken during a week-long All-Line Rover ticket expedition. I've arrived on the overnight internal 23.06 Edinburgh to Inverness sleeper, as seen on the right. It's a bright sunny morning and the time is before 6am! Waiting to depart on the 06.00 Inverness to Aberdeen service is 47041. This loco ended its days in 2005 as formerr RES-liveried 47764, but had previously been ETH-equipped in 1994 and renumbered from 47041 to 47630.
