Standing close to the level crossing is this heavy cast iron trespass sign from the North Eastern Railway. I seem to remember there being plenty of these remnants of the past on this route. I'm sure they have all now been liberated from their original locations and now gracing various gardens, walls and hobby rooms around the country!
