(1) The delightful signal box at Cayton is captured on this lovely late spring, early summer day. The whole scene just oozes atmosphere. The level crossing gates were controlled by a wheel in the 'box, as was typical for this region. The station here closed in 1952, and I seem to recall that the station building remained in private ownership, as did the platform.
