A war bonnet Santa Fe locomotive! In 2018! Dash 9-44CW no. 650 is the trailing unit of this local train, just arrived at the west end of Havelock Yard at 10.14. It, and its friend GP60 no. 166, will propel the train back into the yard. To think that this engine would have once been found rushing long distance high-priority intermodal trains to the west, back in the 1990s! The faded colours of the old Santa Fe still stand out proudly on the locomotive's flanks.
