The suburb of Havelock is home to the BNSF car shops, where nowadays freight cars are repaired. But its history goes back to the CB&Q (BN, BNSF) predecessor Burlington & Missouri River Railroad, who built the shops in 1890-93 for the construction of brand new freight cars.
Nearby, it is common to see BNSF units stabled, waiting for their next duties, at the west end of Havelock Yard, close to the Burger King! On this visit the following were observed at 10.09:
GP38-2 no. 2330
GP38-2 no. 2043
GP50 no. 3160
GP40M no. 3020
They're all wearing different liveries, the most distinctive being no. 2043 in its former lease company colours of blue and white.
