I couldn't resist this close up of the front end of 37099 "Merl Evans 1947 - 2016" whilst it stood in the station at 14.42 on the 10.00 Heaton T&RSMD to Derby R.T.C. test train. Obviously due to the warm weather the bug population has been on the rise, but clearly many of them have met their end on the split headcode front of the locomotive!
