10th May 2015

Used for the movement of LT underground stock for refurbishment, these Class 20s are stabled for the weekend, waiting for their next job.
Who would have thought that these venerable locomotives would still be needed over 60 years after being introduced? Mind you, they've carried some liveries! Nos. 20905 and 20901 wear the GBRf blue and yellow colours, and do kind of look OK in that scheme. At the other end, with a couple of TEA oil tank barrier wagons in between, nos. 20132 "Barrow Hill Depot" and 20118 "Saltburn On The Sea" look more at home in their original BR Railfreight livery. They are captured here at 09.00, having arrived the previous Friday at 17.30.
