The High Output Ballast Cleaner train had been on site somewhere near Knottingley over the weekend, and returned to Toton on the Sunday morning. It's an impressive train, possibly the longest on the network (?), and although I'm no expert I wonder if this one, and the one based at Taunton Fairwater, are the only two such trains.
At 13.48 Freightliner Class 66 no. 66551 rolls through Derby station on the 08.10 Sudworth Lane Signal Box to Stapleford & S CCE sidings. 66520 was tagging on the rear for the ride! Somebody else has spied the train and is taking their own shot from the road bridge.
