With Network Rail's establishment in town it is inevitable that their trains feature heavily at this station. This train, the 03.00 Doncaster West Yard - Derby RTC, is seen at 14.14 after a marathon day, travelling all over the East Midlands, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire, visiting Hatfield & Stainforth station no less than 3 times, and across to Scunthorpe, before meandering around the East Midlands. It's on the last leg now, from the station to the sidings, headed by Colas Rail 37099 "Merl Evans 1947 - 2016", with green 37057 (D6757) on the tail end. Two split-headcode growlers on one train - not a common sight these days!
