Dorset Deltic Explorer! Class 55 "Deltic" no. 55022 "Royal Scots Grey" is well-off piste, about to veer off to the left and down the old Wlits, Somerset & Weymouth Railway cross-country route to Weymouth. It is approaching the station on the GWR main line with Pathfinder Railtour's excursion at 11.15, running as the 1Z75 06.05 Crewe to Weymouth. The Deltic worked the train throughout, returning from Weymouth via Southampton, Basingstoke and Reading after just over two and a half hours at the seaside. Wherever they travel Deltics are always a welcome sight.
