A wide-angle view of 33009, taken from the east end of the station, and the 10.45 Penzance to Brighton train at platform 3. What a journey! Not a train you can ride nowadays. Today, this journey would probably involve 3 or 4 changes of trains, or maybe only three if you went via London.
The through road is still in place, as is the cement depot in the background, as can be seen, with some Pressflo cement wagons present. The site of the goods yard, where decades before a healthy banana traffic was once handled, has since been built over.
