19th April 1989 - Salisbury, Wiltshire
There's actually a sequence of 5 photos illustrating some of this train. It's a Speedlink trip to Westbury, passing through Salisbury station, containing, amongst other things, china clay traffic from Quidhampton, which is where I think the train came in from, with the 47 running-round to face Westbury for its onward journey. But there also a number of very new, ex-works (or at least, freshly painted) wagons that have been at a rail exhibition in Cricklewood from 13th-15th April, returning to where ever they need to go. The whole train was fascinating, a real mixed bag, and very colourful too! Equally appealing is 47060 "Halewood Silver Jubilee 1988" in its Trainload Freight Distribution livery.
