10th Nov 2019 - Abington, South Lanarkshire (WCML)
Autumn sun in the Upper Clyde Valley: Virgin West Coast "Pendolino" no. 390141 leans into the curves south of Abington on the 9M57 13.55 Glasgow Central to London Euston service. The unit has been named “City of Chester” but I didn’t notice if the nameplates were still there. I’m guessing not.

The ghostly white of the train, having been stripped of its Virgin colours prior to the end of the franchise, mirrors the ghostly appearance of the dead tree on the left. I've taken shots here before and find the composition very pleasing.
