Northern Class 769 no. 769456 heads away from the station at 10.31 on the 2K85 10.16 Southport to Alderley Edge service. The Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway signal cabin was built in 1877, a Saxby and Farmer signal cabin equipped with a relatively-recent locking frame installed in 1983.
