Class 305 EMU no. 305510 is departing Guide Bridge with the 09.38 Hadfield to Manchester Piccadilly. Once an important station just outside of Piccadilly on the 1500vDC electrified Woodhead Route, the station would have been a mecca for fans of the Class 76s. About a mile east was the major freight yard at Dewsnap. Although that era has all long-gone the station still retains its original structures, and is also now the home of the Woodhead Railway Museum.
