For years Manchester Victoria's centre roads hosted countless stabled locomotives, including Class 25s and Class 40s. For me I have to settle for a Class 47 and Class 31 on this occasion. BR Railfreight Distribution's no. 47245 and the Civil Engineer's no. 31146 rest between duties. No. 47245 went on to join the West Coast Railway's fleet.
