That's quite a camber on the up line! Class 86/3 no. 86319 works the 10.45 Glasgow Central to London Euston. The train shed on the left is covering the branch platform used for Windermere trains.
Class 86/3 locomotives were the same as the Class 86/0 but fitted with SAB resilient wheels, a wheel in two section separated by a rubber bearing which allowed 100mph running instead of 80mph.
