Bridport no more. The gentle breeze rustles the grass on the bank as route learning car no. TBD975659 - also known by its set no. L135 (formerly W55035) - trundles up the bank on a gloriously warm and sunny spring day. It must have gone as far as Warminster and it soon came back, returning to Westbury.

This Pressed Steel Class 121 single car DMU spent its entire life on the Western Region, being new to Reading in 1961. When it was based at Bristol Bath Road it regularly worked on the Westbury to Weymouth Route, and was often to be found on the Bridport branch until that was closed in 1975. It became a route learning car in 1978 and remained as such until 1992, after which it was withdrawn and scrapped.
