56034 "Castell Ogwr/Ogmore Castle" slogs up the grade with a heavy ARC stone train from Whatley. Despite the effort required the sound of the train from a distance is surprisingly quite low-key, but as it passes you at this point, especially as the noise is concentrated in the shallow cutting, you come to appreciate that the locomotive is working hard. But it can't cope on its own and 56048 is tagged on the rear to give a helping hand. It's a wonderful show and I'm the only one in the audience!
