Cornish Engineers Train No. 2! Part 1. Having been sent down to Cornwall the day before, two engineers trains returned to Westbury today (the first one can be seen in the Creech St. Michael gallery).
At 13.21, and running 69 minutes early, this is the 6W04 09.30 Lostwithiel to Westbury Down T. C., comprising the Balfour Beatty Harsco Track Renewal Train. This includes self-powered wagon no. DR78702. DB Cargo Class 66 no. 66165 leads, and EWS-liveried no. 66024 is tagged on the back, having lead the train down on the Saturday. It's a lovely spring day and the flowers on the embankment lift the spirits after months of enforced self-isolation!
