3 in 1:20 - 1: The first of three engineer's trains heading back from Cornwall, seen over a one hour twenty minute period.
12.41: Colas Rail Freight Class 70 no. 70809 and Class 66 no. 66850 "David Maidment" head the 6C20 02.30 Truro to Westbury Down T.C. past Wick, with a short rake of "Swordfish" wagons and Plaser & Theurer Heavy Duty Crane no. DRP78219 in tow. 66850 was a failure, so 70809 was doing all the work. It's running well behind time but thus giving me the chance to photograph it along with two other following engineer's services.
In the distance, a First Great Western HST disappears on the 10.57 London Paddington to Penzance.
