The Pathfinder Tours railtour "Mini Tug" is paused at Shrub Hill at 08.21 whilst an assisting loco is attached. This is the 1Z60 06.47 Bristol Parkway to Round Oak and DB Cargo Class 66 no. 66001 is our tour engine.
This view shows some wonderful Western Region lower quadrant signalling. Signals SH77 and SH78 are a rare sight nowadays. This may even be one of the last lower quadrant bracket signals left on the national rail network. The train indicator on the post to the right is pure Western Region. I have clear and fond memories of observing others like this working at Exeter St. Davids in the late '70s and early '80s.
