2nd Jan 2016

The occasion was a trip on Pathfinder Tours' "Mini Tug" railtour, from Bristol to Round Oak, Birmingham and the BMW/Mini plant sidings at Cowley, Oxford. Once arrived at Worcester a second loco was added to the rear of the train before we set off for Round Oak. So here I am at Shrub hill at 08.21 with tour loco, the pioneer Class 66 no. 66001, standing at the station alongside a stabled London Midland Class 172/2 DMU, no. 172212. The trains was 1Z60 06.47 Bristol Parkway to Round Oak. It was a short opportunity to stretch legs before setting off again, and gave me the chance to view some of the famous lower quadrant signals here.
