I love this time of year, often the best for photography, with the late summer sun lower in the sky and the landscape changing colour ever-so slightly. It almost makes up for shooting a confounded "Voyager"! Almost. At 10.59 another unidentified 4-car Class 220 DEMU heads up the line at Wick, towards Westbury on the 1S47 09.25 Plymouth to Morpeth, not a conventional destination for Cross Country, but the East Coast Main Line was also closed north of Morpeth for engineering works.
