I've stepped back to take in the whole vista before me from Warm Springs Road at 14.12. SD70M no. 5016 heads the line up of locomotives "Laid Up Good Order" that stretches seemingly all the way to downtown. SD70AH-T4C no. 9082 is on the tail end of a southbound sulphuric acid train. The State Capitol building stands separate to the left and the high-rise buildings of the central downtown area loom before the even more dominating presence of the Front Range behind. Few American cities can offer such a spectacular setting.
