Warm Springs Road is an ideal vantage point to view trains in the Union Pacific North Yard. What you don't expect to see is a huge line-up of stored motive power standing in two long rows. I estimated that there weer around 100 units stored here in what I believe is known as LUGO status - "Laid Up Good Order", or warm storage. Business is obviously at a low ebb on the UP. Also visible here is SD70AH-T4C no. 9082 at the end of a long sulphuric acid train that will shortly leave southwards towards Roper Yard. But what a lovely view of the downtown and the surrounding Front Range in this view taken at 14.01.
