Introduced in 1960 for the electrification of the North Clyde and Cathcart Circle routes, the AM3 - Class 303 "Blue Trains" revolutionised suburban train travel at the time. They finally ended their 42 years in traffic in 2002 and I am pleased to have witnessed this iconic train in service. Here unit no. 303013 departs on yet another suburban service.
