I'm standing beneath the Lions Gate Bridge and we're watching BC Rail CRS20-CAT no. 621 plus "Slug" no. S402, switching cars. In fact the locomotive is being remotely operated by an engineer controlling the unit with a super-sized remote control unit hanging around his neck, akin to an RC car! This was the first time I had observed such operations and it was fascinating to watch.
The Lions Gate Road Bridge was opened in 1938, connecting the city of Vancouver to North Vancouver, over the Burrard Inlet. The name is derived from "The Lions" twin peaks north of the city.
