Strogumber station is one of my favourites on the WSR, although from a photographic point of view it is not the best, the sun being on the wrong side for the majority of the day, and the running line screened by a low, but annoying, wooden fence. But the shear tranquillity of the place, and delightful garden, and the welcoming hospitality of the station buffet make up for any shortcomings! One shot that worked on this day during the Spring Steam Gala is this very low-level view of Collett 0-4-2T no. 1450 and auto-coach 178 calling at the station at 13.51 on the 13.40 Williton to Norton Fitzwarren.
