10th Aug 2017 - Florida East Coast Railway, FL
A quarter of an hour after a northbound local passed by and entered the siding here, at 10.30 this northbound train from Miami Hialeah Yard to Jacksonville Bowden Yard came along headed by ES44C4 locomotives nos. 811 & 819. In between the engines is a liquefied natural gas fuel tender, so these locos are technically not diesel I suppose. These units are also of the rare A1A-A1A wheel configuration, BNSF being the only other railroad using them. The train was very long and running at a fair speed, comprising of manifest cars, followed by intermodel double stacks. Quite a load!
