Amtrak's northbound "Silver Meteor" arrives at Winter Park, at 14.23, 31 minutes late. This is the 8.10am Miami to New York Penn Station, with P42DC engines nos. 99 & 152 in charge. The train quite happily blocked the road for several minutes whilst everyone boarded or disembarked. The platform is divided into two by the road, although the Amtrak agents loaded everyone towards the head end on the left. I have to say that the Amtrak ground staff I spoke to were extremely friendly, even though we were just watching and observing.
