Martigny

This beautiful location is only 21 miles away from Montreux. It is located in the foothills of the Rhone Valley at the foot of the Alps, and the station here is surrounded by amazing mountain backdrops. The station is on the mainline to Italy via the Simplon Pass, and is also the point where a couple of narrow gauge railways meet. The "Mont Blanc Express" takes visitors on a 12-mile scenic route to Chamonix in France. The "St. Bernard Express" heads to Orsieres. Photographing trains here left me spellbound.
