Magor (& Undy), Monmouthshire
Magor has been a favourite spot to shoot trains in times past, but with electrification the location will no doubt change forever. The fast lines run in between the two up and down slow/freight lines on this 4-track main line, and a footbridge overlooking the former station site (opened 1850, closed 1964) gives excellent views westwards, including the church tower of St. Mary's. The view east is OK too. The nearby village centre has also been the source of refreshments, courtesy of the cafe in the centre!
