Liskeard, Cornwall
Liskeard is where you first encounter semaphore signalling as you travel west through the county. It's like stepping back in time. The up starter, a cantilevered bracket signal, is a distinctive feature here, and the views in either direction are great. Eastwards you look across Liskeard Viaduct, and the interesting arrangement of the Looe branch terminus at 90 degrees to the main line is a curious oddity.
