Clifton & Lowther, WCML, Cumbria

This is a good location off the A6 giving good views north from the road bridge. Good in the sense that the line curves away to the right and there are some lovely backdrops, but the catenary is of course the challenge. The location is no good for northbound trains, just southbound. The site of Clifton & Lowther station is just beyond the next bridge south of here, now the location of a timber yard. There are also distant views of the gypsum factory at Kirkby Thore from here, on the Settle to Carlisle line.
