Caliente, Tehachapi Pass, CA

This is one of the popular locations on the Tehachapi Pass line for photography. The line makes a wide 180 degree turn allowing you to stand and watch trains seemingly wrapping themselves around you as they climb up to Tehachpai. The post office was established here way back in 1875, and despite moves to a different building, is still there, the constant sound of diesel horns echoing around the hills with the constant flow of trains.
