Bluebell Railway, West Sussex

Running its first trains in August 1960 the Bluebell Railway is one of the senior heritage lines in the UK, being the world's very first standard gauge line to be preserved. Once part of the East Grinstead to Lewes branchline opened in 1882, only one of the six stations on the line was close to the village it claimed to serve, and none of them are on the current preserved line! I made a brief visit back in 1990 but had never been back since until 2025. A long gap in between and I regret this as this is a lovely, friendly railway with some wonderfully preserved locomotives, rolling stock and artefacts. It is worth a revisit very soon.
