Back "in the day" Class 27s were entrusted with the local stopping trains between Edinburgh and Dundee. So when I did my first All-Line Rail Rover in 1983, and Scotland was my destination, I had to sample some "Mac-Rat" haulage behind these locos. 27038 is pictured after arriving on the 13.17 Edinburgh Waverley to Dundee service. I now had a bit of time to spare until my next train....
