Looking east from the road bridge at 09.46 a Pathfinder Railtours excursion is approaching behind EWS Class 37 no. 37401. This is the "Cwm and Go(ne)" railtour, 1Z37 05.32 Nottingham to Margam T. C. This tour visited the Vale of Glamorgan line via Tondu, Machen Quarry and Uskmouth and included Class 66, 60 and even 08 haulage, the latter down to Uskmouth! A London-bound HST shoots by in the other direction.
