(1) Whilst travelling on business an opportunity to call in at the station was rewarded with the sight of two freights at the same time. There was obviously some track work taking place and these two trains were operated for Network Rail, delivering ballast and rail. At 11.15 EWS Class 66 no. 66181 pulls in eastbound with a rake of autoballasters, passing the westbound starter signal at the platform end. Classmate 66063 is in the yard with a rail train.
