Taken from the bridge leading towards the M6 junction at Shap, this was a bit of an experiment to see how the view looked from here. I would not actually recommend this location as so many heavy trucks pass this way, either to enter Hardendale Quarry (entrance just across the road) or heading for Shap Quarry at the north side of Shap. Anyway, at 08.57 390044 "Virgin Lionheart" heads the 1S37 05.3 London Euston - Glasgow Central service as it approaches the bridge through the cutting.
