EWS Class 37/7 nos 37707 and 37886 "Sir Dyfed/County of Dyfed" are about to detach from Pathfinder Railtour's "Ayr Liner" railtour on its return journey. This is the 1Z44 Ayr to Birmingham International. I had travelled on the tour from its starting point, visiting Falkland Yard, Ayr, Killoch Colliery, Waterside and Ayr Harbour. We had arrived here via the GSWR route through Dumfries and the '37s were about to be replaced by a Class 56. It was a great day out, a long day out mind you, but one to remember.
