Class 56 no. 56032 "Sir De Morgannwg/County of South Glamorgan" was a Cardiff Canton-based Grid at the time. Later in life, and certainly not predicated in 1989, this locomotive would be one of the 16 Class 56s converted to Class 69, this one becoming no. 69011.
